What are the minimum things in machine learning one should know to have a feeling that he/she knows
machine learning, so called geeky name, machine learning guy?
Especially with ML, where new approaches keep spawning, simply keeping yourself up-to-date with your research subfield takes considerable time and effort.
In my opinion it's a research field and not some specific set of skills. Can one claim to "know" physics or biology?
