What kind of crossover operators do we have to handle real-valued chromosomes in genetic algorithums? |
|
This sounds a lot like a school question, but I'll answer it with no further details: Genetic Algorithms was formally defined over discrete values. A crossover operator is just some way to mix to elements together, might be a sum, a multiplication, an average. If you want to work with real valued GA, you might better look at things like Differential Evolution and Particle Swarm Optimizers. Out of topic, you can also get great results with some Convex Analysis tools, like Stochastic Gradient Descent, Mesh Analysis or SMO. |
