I am currently employed as a market risk quant, but I am getting more and more interested in machine learning and predictive analytics. Ideally, I would like to some day work for a place which tackles problems like this: http://www.kaggle.com/c/online-sales I am looking to improve my resume by working on a project, i.e. actually designing some sort of a predictive system which does something like what I posted in the link above. What are some ways in which I can improve my background and resume to become a competitive applicant for predictive analytics jobs? I have an MSc in computer science from a top school, background in statistics and I've worked as a quant for 3 years now, building market risk models for a bank. |
