How to improved random forest algorithm for classification

I want to improve random forest algorith for increase the attack classification rate.There are two way to improve the random forest.first is feature selection & second is best split of tree selection.Please give me suggestion ..Which feature selection method best & any other way to improve the random forest algorithm.
