In general, there are two kinds of oil pressing methods for Oil Expeller: Hot pressing and cold pressing. Of course there must some difference between the two oil pressing method. The follow is a detail introduction about that. In the cold press method, incoming seed is fed without preheating. On the other hand in the hot press mode the seeds have to go through a preheating step. The major commercial difference is the quality of cake and yield of oil. In cold press method, the cake produced is more valuable and it compromises with the yield of the seed. While in hot press method, preheating ruptures cells of the seeds, which in turn increases the yield of the oil. But in this process the cake produced is less valuable as compared to cold press.
