I've been meaning to try TextRunner out and since so many people cite the paper I was wondering whether there is an implementation of TextRunner available somewhere? Does anyone know about any other open information extraction tools out there? |
|
Definitely. However, I am not so much interested in any particular paper about open IE but rather a specific implementation which one can run.

Have you checked the "Downloads" tab in the link I gave? http://www.mpi-inf.mpg.de/yago-naga/sofie/downloads.html

Good point; I had missed that completely. Thanks!

Don't we all wish there was TextRunner code available. I really don't think there an implementation of their pipeline, or any parts of it, or anything remotely as powerful, out there though. I did a ton of looking at the beginning of the summer for my job extracting product features from amazon.com reviews, but I ended up having to implement it from scratch. |

Have you tried ReVerb (from the same lab as TextRunner)? Online demo and source code are available. this makes my above comment obsolete. Yay!

I have read some code of RevVerb, and found it's well designed and coded in my opinion.
