Hello Everyone, (This might get ugly)

Well, I'm trying to write a blog post on Machine Learning Graduate Programs all around the world. I'll look into recent papers at NIPS and ICML to get some names and extrapolate from there.

I know that there is barely no ML grad programs out there, and most of them are part of the broader CS.

So here is the question, which ML laboratories do you know around the world, I'm aware of most labs in USA and London, but I'm also aware that for some people it might be hard to go there. So, in different countries, which programs do you know or which professors do a good albeit a decent work at doing Machine Learning research.

Thanks a lot

I agree there are very few ML labs out there, but I think that's because ML is a very very broad field. It covers too much of many other sciences which is why most labs are focused on specific applied areas.

Therefore I think compiling a list of ML specific labs would very much under-represent the field and state of ML research.

Agree. The number of people folded into bioinformatics, data mining, statistics, information retrieval and text analytics is pretty huge. Most places have at least some machine learning going on, but might not call it that.
