The optional MiningBuildTask element in PMML can contain free-form content and is intended to capture information about the training process of a model. I can think of various things that make sense to include, such as the version and parameter settings of the learner. But I'd be interested in pointers to best practices, or good concrete examples, of using the MiningBuildTask element. Surprisingly, this element is not even discussed in the only book on PMML that I'm aware of: Guazzelli, Lin, Jena.
